Help the Community

Llanharan Rugby Club has been at the heart of the village for over 125 years and in these difficult times the Players and Committee wanted to make sure that remained the case during the COVID 19 pandemic. With older members confined to their homes either through underlying health problems or simply age, there was a “what can we do to help” attitude.

The “Help the Community” scheme came from this willingness from all at the club to help those who were struggling during the pandemic. The first person to benefit was an old player Roy”Nipper”Harris. Roy played scrum half for the club in the 60’s and 70’s and was never one to take a backward step.
