Welcome

Welcome to Llanharan Community Council. We serve the communities of Llanharan, Brynna, Brynna Gwynnion, Bryncae, Llanilid and Ynysmaerdy. The formation of the Community Council was in 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972 as the sucessor to the former old Parish Councils.

CALL FOR PROJECT IDEAS
Over the coming years Llanharan Community Council will be in receipt of significant funds generated by new housing developments in our community.

The scheme under which the council will receive these funds is called the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL). See link for further information: www.gov.uk/guidance/community-infrastructure-levy#spending-the-levy.

We are carrying out a public consultation exercise to seek project ideas, and as part of this exercise we are engaging directly with members of the public. Please see the leaflet below which gives details on types of projects that are in scope and how to suggest a project idea.

*NOTE: The only way to suggest a project idea is to email or physically post an idea to the office. We will NOT be monitoring social media feeds. However we will be in touch with local groups in the next few weeks.

Timeline PhotosCoronavirus has impacted all of our lives in some way, but we know for some of our most vulnerable children, young people and families these are very difficult and challenging times.

We’re providing £12.5m to fund a range of support children and families across Wales.

This will include addressing concerns around developmental delays, assisting families to stay together, and further develop foster care provision.
