The council’s Community Engagement Committee will next meet on Thursday 5th February 2026 at 7pm via zoom.
This committee was founded specifically to offer residents the opportunity to bring any matters it wishes to be raised to the attention of the council and to offer a forum for more in depth participation than can be offered at a standard council meeting. At this meeting the committee will review the 2025 festive light display and to review recommendations of a working group looking at the potential to provide a pathway between the railway station and the ‘Terry’s Way’ estates.
Members of the public are welcome to participate on this or any other matter that is within the duties and powers of the community council. For information on how to join this meeting, or to check if you have an issue that might be appropriate for discussion please contact the Clerk at clerk@llanharan-cc.gov.wales or call 01443 231430

Before January is over we must record our appreciation for all those who made our 2025 Over 60s' Christmas Lunches a huge success. Thank you to Llanharan RFC committee and staff for having us and to Cresta Caterers for fantastic food and service.
Many thanks to our host, Cllr Rhys Jenkins, Chair of Llanharan Community Council, ably supported by Cllrs David Evans, Neil Feist, Andrew Morgan, Chris Parker, Mark Steer and Janine Turner, as well as Cllrs Nick Richards and Will Thomas for their help delivering the tickets. Thank you to Cllr Sheryl Evans, Mayor of RCT, for her support.
A special thanks to the staff and children of Llanharan and Brynnau primary schools for providing excellent entertainment, to Llanharan Drop In for help with transport and to Gill Richards and Ann Davies of Llanharan and Brynna OAP Associations for all their hard work and wise advice.
And for those who missed out - Christmas Lunches 2026 will be here before we know it!
