Welcome to Llanharan Community Council. We serve the communities of Llanharan, Brynna, Brynnau Gwynion, Bryncae, Llanilid and Ynysmaerdy. The Community Council was formed in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 as the successor to the former Parish Councils.

The tender for the refurbishment of Oakbrook Skatepark is intended to be issued in due course based on the design shown below. The project will be funded by the Community Council using some of the council's CIL funds (a tax on new housing developments) and grant money from Grantscape (The
Mynydd Portref windfarm fund).

Llanharan Community Council, being the leaseholder of the centre is embarking on a scheme of significant capital improvements to the centre over the coming months and years using its CIL money (a ‘tax’ on house builders) derived from the local housing developments.
