Welcome to Llanharan Community Council. We serve the communities of Llanharan, Brynna, Brynnau Gwynion, Bryncae, Llanilid and Ynysmaerdy. The Community Council was formed in 1974 under the Local Government Act 1972 as the successor to the former Parish Councils.

Please find attached the Short Breaks for Unpaid Carers Information Leaflet.
Short Breaks funding has been awarded across the Cwm Taf Morgannwg region to provide unpaid carers with opportunities to take a break from their caring responsibilities and support their health and wellbeing.
The attached leaflet outlines the range of short break opportunities available across CTM, together with information on eligibility and how carers can access support in their local area.
We would be grateful if you could share this information with unpaid carers, colleagues, and relevant networks to help ensure that those who may benefit are aware of the support available.

Working in conjunction with our appointed Project Managers, Llanharan Community Council have issued a Prior Interest Notice (PIN) regarding the tender for a replacement multi-user bridge over the River Ewenny in Brynna Woods and associated paths. The project aims to provide an improved and accessible route for all users (including wheelchair users) from Bryncae Community Centre, through the woods out to The Green (The Eco-houses).
The full tender process is expected to commence now in mid October with an award made in November. A single competitive tender, two-stage design and build approach is being undertaken, the project being complex in nature given its location in an environmentally sensitive nature reserve (owned and operated by the Wildlife Trust).
The Council will continue to engage with stakeholders and the public as appropriate as the project progresses.
