Welcome to Llanharan Community Council. We serve the communities of Llanharan, Brynna, Brynna Gwynnion, Bryncae, Llanilid and Ynysmaerdy. The formation of the Community Council was in 1974, under the Local Government Act 1972 as the sucessor to the former old Parish Councils.

Llanharan Community Council

Llanharan Community Council serves the communities of Bryncae,Brynna,Llanharan,Llanilid &Ynysmaerdy

Llanharan Community Council supporting sport, health and well-being and local halls and charities in our area using CIL funds obtained from the building of new houses.

Some sport based projects funded recently:

- £103,000 granted to Llanharan Welfare Ground (LRGT) to provide new floodlighting for rugby and football pitches.

- £26,000 granted to Brynna Community Centre to improve drainage on the ‘top’ football pitch.

- £26,000 granted to Brynna Community Centre to improve drainage on the ‘bottom’ football pitch.

- £20,000 granted as a contribution towards the relaying of the 3G pitch at a Brynna Community Centre.

- £5,600 granted to Llanharan Welfare Ground (LRGT) to provide and install new rugby posts

We thank you on behalf of our Board and all users for the support from CIL funds. We welcome the proposed tarmac work as promised in November 2024 😀 everyone wins, the community, the users and the council from that project 😀
